Some more notes on China
From the moment we arrived each day provided us with a new gem. From Beijing.... Tiananmen Square/The Forbidden City/The Great Wall/ The Terracotta Warriors/ The outstanding Jiuzhai Valley National Park etc. Each day provided something special.
Special thanks must go in particular to our guide Noya Ma and his dedicated team of local guides and coach drivers. Noya Ma worked like a guardian angel to each of us. He made it his business to make sure that our expectations were exceeded at all times. We were most fortunate to have the services of such a wonderful human being.

Tour to China April 2009.
I have just arrived home from Chengdu via Amsterdam after a whirlwind tour of some of the most fabulous places in China starting with Beijing. What made it most memorable was the group of Irish who began as strangers....but as with most Irish a common bond was soon established. We had the time of our life. I am writing this missive as I prepare to go to bed in Bewley's Hotel, Dublin Airport after a gruelling trip back home. But it has been worth it all.
I will continue my report when I wake up from the dream. I also hope to post some images and possibly some videos of our trip. For starters above is an image of The Birdsnest, Beijing's famous Olympic Stadium, which is famous now as a tourist attraction.
Cheers everybody,
Fergus
